I wonder if it is still considered America's Team..maybe moreso now that their owner confesses to eating squirrel and raccoons or whatever he confessed to eating recently...
Thanks for reading. I think when one gets to that point, we see less of the real person and more of their addicted brain - and that's why addicts tend to share so many commonalities.
Ray, I'm just curious, how did you pick Wylie? Close your eyes and throw a dart at a map? Years back, my daughter played volleyball in H.S. and I went to every game, home or away. Been there. They actually had a very good team, but we were a little better. They were scrappy as hell, played every point like it was the only thing in the world that mattered and maybe it was to them. Good story enjoyed it. - Jim
I went to high school in Garland and Wylie to me was the hinterlands. I'm not surprised to hear they had a scrappy, hard-nosed girls volleyball team. But a little surprised to hear they had a volleyball team.
Oh yeah, even the smallest of towns do. Girl’s volleyball is huge in Texas these days. My youngest daughter played 5 years of organized league play before she even stepped foot on a H.S. court. She was short but super quick, could dig it, set it and had a strong serve. She was the perfect Libero on a team that went to state. What a closely knit, great group of girls to watch play - but uh, yeah, I’m kinda biased. Three of her teammates got full boat scholarships. Two went to A&M and the third was on a national championship team for the Longhorns. I have a team poster the school designed that would amaze you, but I don’t like putting that kind of thing up online. Too many crazies in this world. Anyway, I’m babbling but thanks for the unintended memories.
Time was I'd hear the name Aikman (or Elway) and have to fight somebody. Nobody hates the Cowboys more than me, not even Nick.
Great story, Ray!
I used to feel this way about all Dallas teams. I've since mellowed, but only a little.

“Bones’ baby mama was Kimmy, a big ol’ girl as fat as Bones was skinny. Put them next to each other and they created the number 10”
I audibly lol’ed at this Ray
I heard that 10 thing said a long time ago and thought it was funny
Damn. A hard nut to crack but you got it open. I used to work with a guy who would shoot meth. Seems like if you know one addict, you know them all.

Cool short story

The photo is just like home. At least we had underpinning, and some gravel in the driveway.
Nothing wrong with this set-up at all. A little work here and there and you're living good.
Ironically, the photo reminds me of the Cowboys season.
I googled copyright free images of Dallas Cowboys and this came up
